Lookalike domains, named in the files

A domain is entered here only where a record names it: the storefront's own "not affiliated" line, a Finnrick report quoted in the file, or the desk's note on what a domain resolved to. The real domain is printed beside each lookalike with the record line that names it. The registry grows as files are checked; it is not a search of the wider web, and the desk has not visited the lookalike domains.

A lookalike row is a statement about a domain, not about what is sold on it. Where a storefront's own closure notice warns of impersonators without naming one, the warning is entered and the domain column left empty.

How a domain gets a row

Desk practice
  1. A record names it

The sentence that names the domain is already in the file: a red flag, a desk note, or a third-party report quoted there. We copy the sentence onto this page and attribute it. We do not go looking for lookalikes ourselves.

  2. It is sorted by kind

Impersonation, name collision or second domain. The sorting is from the wording of the record line; where the record says "clone", "lookalike" or "impersonator" the row is in the first table.

  3. A page of its own waits for three facts

No storefront gets a separate clone page until its record holds at least three documented facts about the lookalike. None does yet, so every row links to the storefront's file instead.

Reader questions

Answered from the file
How do I know if a peptide website is a copy of another?

Open the file for the storefront and compare the domain in the file header with the one in your address bar, character by character, including the ending. The registry below lists every lookalike a record names; a domain that is not in the file and not on this page is simply unknown to the desk, which is not the same as cleared.

Are there fake copies of peptide vendor sites?

The records name 9 lookalike or impersonator domains against 8 storefronts, and two closure notices warn of impersonators without naming a domain. Every row gives who says so: the storefront itself, Finnrick, or the file. The desk has not visited the lookalike domains and records nothing about what they sell.

Is a name collision the same as a clone?

No, and the registry keeps them apart. A collision is two unrelated businesses trading under similar names on different domains; nobody is pretending to be anybody. A second domain belongs to the same operator. An impersonator is a domain built to be mistaken for the original. Only the last kind is a lookalike in the sense this page exists for.

How to read a domain and what a copied storefront tends to look like is set out in Lookalike domains and clone stores. Closed storefronts whose notices warn of impersonators are in the shutdowns registry. Rows are read from the record set (open data; fields trust.red_flags, trust.third_party_reports, notes). Every storefront listed sells, or sold, material labeled for laboratory research use only. Current to .
