Storefronts that have stopped trading

One entry for every storefront in the registry recorded as closed, alphabetical. Each entry gives the closure date where the record has one and who gives it, the notice text where a notice was readable, what the domain showed on the day of the check, and what third parties report about where the business went. A closed storefront carries no seal.

Counted from the record: 5 of 8 entries have a closure date or month in the record; 3 had a readable closure notice; 1 carries an FDA warning letter from before the closure. How a closure is recorded

Desk practice
  1. The domain is fetched

We record what came back on the check date: a closure notice, an HTTP error, a domain that does not resolve, a parked page or a redirect to another store. That line is the only part of an entry the desk saw for itself.

  2. The notice is quoted, if there was one

Where the storefront put up a notice we summarise its wording and keep the date it gives. Where the notice gives no date, we say so, and any date from elsewhere is attributed to whoever gives it.

  3. Third parties are named as third parties

Closure dates, successor brands and buyer complaints that reach us through Finnrick, a wiki, a news report or a forum are written as "third parties report" and are not adopted as findings.

Reader questions

Answered from the file
Why did Peptide Sciences shut down, and when?

The record gives no reason. Independent write-ups cited in the file report that the store was replaced by a voluntary-shutdown notice on March 6, 2026; the desk could not read the notice because the homepage returned HTTP 403 on 2026-10-19. Third parties report that no refund policy or transition plan was announced; the file does not confirm that from a primary source.

When did science.bio shut down?

The closure notice on science.bio gives no date. Third parties report (Finnrick, June 13, 2026 report) the final shutdown in January 2026. The notice warns that any successor or reseller is fraudulent; the desk records that warning and names no domain, because the record names none.

Will a closed storefront refund or fulfil pending orders?

The registry holds only what each notice said. Chemyo's notice says it fulfils pre-closure orders and takes no payments. For Peptide Sciences, third parties report no refund policy was announced. For the other storefronts the record is silent, and the desk does not guess. A reader with a pending order has the notice text, where one exists, and nothing more from us.

Why keep closed storefronts in the registry at all?

Because old forum threads, old lists and stale affiliate pages still send readers to them, and some of the domains have since been parked, redirected or copied. A dated entry that says what the domain showed on the check date is cheaper than an order placed with whoever holds the domain now.

Entries are read from the same record set as every file (open data, CC BY 4.0; fields status, notes, red_flags, third_party_reports). Domains that were parked or redirected may have changed hands since; what a copied or revived domain looks like is set out in Lookalike domains and clone stores. Every storefront listed sold material labeled for laboratory research use only. Current to .
